Member Rules
When you sign up to become a member, you are acknowledging and agreeing to our follow our club rules.
- Customers may bring fluids, liquids and other materials typically used in automotive repair and maintenance, and non-alcoholic beverages into the shop area for consumption. However, caustic solutions and other items that can have a deteriorative effect on vehicle finishes or appearance are to be handled only by Openbay Garage’s staff and within the designated areas.
- All spills must be promptly contained using the spill kit located in the respective service bay.
- Motors may be started in the Property only for brief periods of time and only when Openbay Garage’s staff is present, to facilitate ingress/egress, to diagnose mechanical problems or to confirm successful repair of same. Noise shall be kept to a minimum at all times.
- Used motor oil must be disposed into oil drain containers located in each service bay. Other used vehicle fluids must be disposed into appropriate fluid drain containers.
- Customer may not re-position the automotive lift points once Autos have been placed onto a lift. If any re-positioning is required, Customer must request assistance from an Openbay Garage staff member.
- Customer may only use black impact sockets with pneumatic/air impact tools, and expressly may not use chrome impact sockets.
- Customer may not disconnect any charged or pressurized AC lines or components or otherwise cause the refrigerant to escape from their Auto's AC systems. All work requiring the disconnection of AC lines or components must be completed on vehicles that have their refrigerants professionally drained and safely stored.
- Children under 18 are allowed only in our lounge (carpeted) area, unless granted permission by an Openbay Garage staff member and under the supervision of a parent of guardian at all times.
- Smoking on the Property is PROHIBITED at all times. No torches or flame-producing equipment of any type are to be used in Facilities at any time. Gasoline may not be stored in any manner other than vehicle fuel tanks.
- The consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs on the Property is PROHIBITED at all times. Any Customer who appears to be under the influence, or smells of alcohol or drugs, which judgment shall be made in Openbay Garage's sole discretion, will be asked to leave the premises and will be charged for full extent of the reserved window.
- Rude, hateful, disrespectful, and aggressive language or actions will not be tolerated, whether or not targeted at other patrons or staff, and Openbay Garage expressly reserves the right to terminate Customer's reservation and remove Customer from the Property in such event.
- Customer must abide by all applicable laws while on the Property, including federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, or other similar requirements.
- Customer may not enter any other service bay for any reason unless permitted by an Openbay Garage staff member and the occupant of the service bay. Any Customer violating this Rule shall be asked to leave the premises and will be charged for the full extent of the reserved window.
- Customer shall not solicit business within the premises or any common area.
- Customer may not use Openbay Garage's facilities for training provided by trained, professional mechanics except with written permission from Openbay Garage in advance.
- Customer or persons accompanying Customer shall park all vehicles not being repaired in the shop only in designated customer or guest parking areas. Customer may not park their vehicles in the parking lot overnight. Openbay Garage will tow any vehicles in violation of this rule. In addition, Customer and persons accompanying them shall respect all traffic and other signs and pedestrian areas.
- Customer and all persons accompanying them shall wear shirts and boots or closed-heel and closed-toe shoes at all times in service bays. No flip flops, sandals, or open-toe footwear are permitted in the shop area. Long hair shall be tied in back.
- Only beverages in covered and non-breakable containers may be consumed in the shop area. Food and beverage containers and/or waste shall be disposed of in the proper waste or recycling bins. Customer will clean up any spills on the floor, table, counter and/or microwave.
- Customer may not play music in the shop area through speakers other than earphones or headphones.
- No pets are allowed on the Property.
- No food may be kept in Autos while they are stored at the Property.
- Car covers are allowed if Customer is storing their car in a storage space.
